1. All three octaves are recommended to stimulate the psychological aspects of the chakra's subconscious, conscious, and higher consciousness. 2. We suggest using a leather or hard rubber mallet to strike the chimes.
This produces a more uniform note without harshness from striking metal
to metal. 3. A full set of 21 chimes can be used in a smaller space by hanging
the two larger octaves from a double bar garment rack and hanging the
smallest octave from a wall mounted quilt rack. This also makes it easier
to the three octaves together. 5. If possible, use the chimes in a smaller room with a standard ceiling
height. 6. We recommend starting a session with the C note to allow the body
to adapt to the stimulation as well as ending the session with the C note
to help the body ground itself. 7. It is important to closely observe the individual for their tolerance.
Too much stimulation from the chakra chimes can make a person lightheaded
or give them a headache. 8. Generally, a note is struck 1,3,5, or 7 times to stimulate the chakras
before changing to another note. 9. A "hot" chakra can be used to feed energy to the adjoining
10. We have found the greatest long term benefit for the individual is
to use an emotional processing technique in conjunction with the chimes.
11. Another technique that is helpful is to have the individual pull
a major arcana card from the tarot. The corresponding note can be played
on the chakra chimes while the individual contemplates the psychological
meaning of the card.
