Topic:Living and Dying Date: 4-11-06 Page 6 A long time friend of mine is dying. My son and I hiked the Grand Canyon with her. She came most of the years that I lead a canoe trip on the Kickapoo River. She was attending a class I taught, the night her sister died. I have done energy sessions and consultations with her over many years, more so when she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Last year, I painted her house afte she had it evaluated for the appropriate colors. She has crystals that I bought in Arkansas in her meditation garden. I visited here last week knowing what was coming. We had spoken of it indirectly over the past year. Now it was time to face the present reality. She asked me to help her out of the pain and frustration. I offered her the intuitive advice that came into my mind -- "make this a learning experience in the same way you have made every experience this past 3 years". I then told her over the next hour my ideas of what she could expect at the time of death and shortly there after. When I left she was sleeping quietly. I know that it is the natural end for all of us. Yet it is so, sad to see a young person leave so early in the normal life spand. I wrote a Fortune Cookie # 5 about her, feel free to check it out. 4-14-06 My friend died this afternoon, I was suppose to spend tomorrow evening with her. I am glad I spent time with her last week, and had the opportunity to share my intuitive impressions to her. This afternoon, I sat by her body, meditated and spoke to her spirit. I became aware of an automatic expectation that she would speak to me as she always had done, but there was physical silence and complete physical stillness. I regretted that I had not gotten there earlier to speak to one last time, but on the drive home, I realized that I had, over the past 3 years, been preparing her for this afternoon -- as I had also been preparing myself. I touch her still and said, "will see you in our next round". Then I left the room to visit with her other friends feeling the same peace she was experiencing at that very moment..
